Wedding Day Timeline

We met by chance on the afternoon of August 22, 2021, on St. Pete Beach. From the moment we started talking, the connection was instant. We sat together for hours, sharing stories, laughing, and watching the sunset — and neither of us wanted the day to end.From that moment on, we were inseparable. We started going on dates, spending time with friends, and getting to know each other on a deeper level. Within a month, we said “I love you,” and it felt completely natural — like we had known each other forever.As our relationship grew, we started traveling together and introducing each other to our families. In 2023, we moved in together with our two dogs, Lady and Luka, and created a home full of love, adventure, and dog hair.In the summer of 2024, during a beautiful trip to Montenegro, Uros proposed. We quickly began planning our wedding and most recently bought our first house together.We feel so lucky to have found each other, and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives side by side.Наша Љубавна ПричаУпознали смо се сасвим случајно, поподне 22. августа 2021. године, на плажи у Сент Питерсбургу. Од првог тренутка када смо почели да разговарамо, веза између нас била је тренутна. Седели смо сатима, причали, смејали се и посматрали залазак сунца — и ниједно од нас није желело да се дан заврши.Од тог дана постали смо нераздвојни. Почели смо да излазимо, проводимо време са пријатељима и упознајемо једно друго на дубљем нивоу. Већ након месец дана рекли смо „Волим те“ — и све је деловало потпуно природно, као да се познајемо цео живот.Како је наша веза расла, почели смо да путујемо заједно и упознајемо своје породице. У 2023. години уселили смо се заједно са наша два пса, Лејди и Луком, и створили дом пун љубави, авантура и псеће длаке.Лета 2024. године, током прелепог путовања у Црној Гори, Урош је запросио Пејџ. Убрзо смо почели да планирамо наше венчање и недавно смо купили нашу прву заједничку кућу.Осећамо се невероватно срећно што смо се пронашли — и једва чекамо да проведемо остатак живота заједно, раме уз раме.

These are well established hotels that we recommend staying at while you are in Belgrade. Of course, there are many other options, including Airbnb. If you decide to book an Airbnb or some other hotel - we recommend booking places around the hotels listed below as they are central. We suggest staying in Downtown Belgrade until Thursday, June 11th or Friday, June 12th. Starting Thursday until after the wedding, we suggest staying in one of the villas listed below, past Belgrade hotel options. NOTE: The wedding venue is approximately one hour away from Belgrade. It's called "Vila Jugovo S" in Smederevo, Serbia. We will organize transportation for Thursday and Friday before the wedding - all information can be found under "Transportation" page.

Transportation From Downtown Belgrade to the wedding venue area

We will have buses/vans organized to pick people up in downtown Belgrade on Thursday and Friday with the drop off to your villas/hotels that you decide to stay at. Time and location for the pickup will be announced closer to the wedding date. If you plan on coming to the wedding on the day of, we recommend renting a car or getting a taxi ride from Belgrade. For example, Pink Taxi (info listed below) should be a bit around 11,000 dinars ($110) from the city center. As always, if you have any questions, we are available.

Getting Around Belgrade or to/from the airport

We HIGHLY recommend to everyone to always call their rides themselves. Do not accept rides from anyone that might be offering it - even if they seem to be from the taxi company that you used before. If you are in doubt or can't figure it out, call Paige or Uros and we will get you sorted.

Pink Taxi

More of a traditional taxi, but it is everywhere in the city. You can download their app or call them at 19803. You can pay in the car with cash or card. Our favorite and the most reliable way of getting around with taxi. Yandex GO

Equivalent to Uber app - great way to get around the city. You can visit their website where you can download the app and you can even order a car by calling 19810. <a href="https://go.yandex/en_rs/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Yandex Go — request rides in Serbia.</a>

Public Transportation

There are public buses EVERYWHERE around Belgrade. The public transportation is free for everyone, so you do not have to worry about paying. The buses are nice, but it can get busy during the rush hours in the morning and afternoon.

Kalemegdan Fortress, overlooking the Sava and Danube rivers, is one of Belgrade’s most historic and iconic sites. Dating back to Roman times, it has stood through centuries of battles and empires. It is located at the end of the pedestrian street, Knez Mihailova, which makes for a perfect end for a walk through the city center.

If you love shopping, you will love Belgrade! Galerija is the largest shopping mall in downtown Belgrade. You will find all the brands known to you, but also other brands unique to European markets. The riverside of the mall has a walkway lined with many restaurants, which at night have live music.

The Temple of Saint Sava is one of Belgrade’s most iconic landmarks and one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. It was built in honor of Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church, who was also a prince, monk, and the country’s first archbishop in the 13th century. Construction of the church began in the 1930s and continued through much of the 20th century, making it a powerful symbol of Serbian faith and resilience. If you have the chance to visit, step through the main entrance and look to the left side of the arch—you’ll see the inscription "браћа Маринковић," honoring Uroš’s grandfather and his brothers, who contributed to the construction of the temple.

A beautiful lake in Belgrade where you can go for a stroll or bike ride. While you are there check out one of the many cafes along the shore or even jump in the lake to cool off. For the adventurous ones, you can do a bungee jump over the lake water or rent out a paddle boat and go under the Geyser Fountain.

If you happen to be at Ada Ciganlija Lake, you can take a quick mile walk to the world renowned rowing club Red Star. Feel free to walk in and throw Uros's name. Direct quote Uros: "I am an absolute living legend in those quarters. Say my name and they will show you the club, and might even let you out in one of the boats."
